Well, Boo has successfully gotten over her 'demons.' Thanks to good seizure medication, she no longer howls, but we are still tweaking her meds that control saliva so she doesn't choke (as she cannot swallow).
This makes for LONG nights, so I have been changing my sleep schedule to 7PM - 3AM. It's getting there and I am better able to care for her round the clock with the dear husband staying up to midnight to cover that shift.
Roo, our beloved Appa Roo kitty, has been sick with an infection that kills off his red blood cells. He 'may' be on the mend now. He's coming home for the weekend and will see the vet on Monday to see if his red blood cell count has gone up. If not, we will try new meds, but it 'looks' like he may be turning the corner now and on his way to recovery. He's been one very sick kitty this last week or so. He's one of the rescue kitties we hand fed from birth and my husband is so very attached. We will be eating macaroni for a lonnnnng time.
The book is coming along. The editors have actually received the submission and are reviewing it to see if they want to work with me. I am good either way. I work on it and nurse it along. I think I am pretty near done with revisions on my own. This is as good as it gets. :)
Got a few emails from readers of this blog - thanks for the prayers for Boo, the encouragement for the book and the laughs you had reading some of my older columns.
Have an awesome day!
