Well, maybe 400-600 words is better.

It's tough getting into the groove again.  I read that Hemingway aimed for 400-600 words per day, so I'll give that a try.

National Novel Writing Month is just around the corner.  Can't wait.

1,000 words a day.

Day one and I have reached my 1,000 word quota.  Gibberish, but good exercise for a writer.  Yay, me!

Time for a fresh start.

I just picked out a new blog style and added some new features.  Looks good, I think.

November is on the horizon and I am contemplating what I will write for National Novel Writing Month.  I have a few ideas.  Every year I start out and sputter, but this year I think I will make it through.

Been taking notes on the side and have possible column ideas percolating again.  Don't know whether I'll produce anything, but I'm beginning to feel like I can write again since Boo's death.

We are all doing well.  Still grieving--at times more than others--but overall we are happy, busy with seasonal stuff, school, colds, cats and life in general.

For me it's been difficult creating a new life and a new routine, but a routine is developing and I look forward to the days to come.

Right now the house is getting spookier and spookier as the official opening of candy season approaches.  I am already dreaming of Turkey and pumpkin pie.

Biblio Reads is keeping me busy.  That's my hobby.  I love reading picture books for ages 4-8 and chapter books for ages 9-12. I'm going to talk to the library about making a donation of the many books I don't keep.  Our small town library can use some new books.  I hope they accept.

Hope this post finds you all snug and cozy as the season marches on.
